National Museum of Costumes
Surrounded by an 18th century garden, this museum is in the Palácio Angeja-Palmela, one of the most remarkable buildings in the historic centre of Paço do Lumiar (Driving Directions). In it you will find exhibitions of traditional and historical costumes belonging to the18th century court and to the Imperial period.
The Museu Nacional do Traje e da Moda has a collection with 33.000 items, which includes mainly XVIII and XIX masculine and feminine costumes.
