Fado Museum
The Fado Museum, a project promoted by the Urban Rehabilitation Department of the Lis-bon City Council opened its doors on September 25th 1998, is located in the Recinto da Praia Building, in front of Largo do Chafariz de Dentro, the entrance door to the historic Alfama neighborhood. This cultural centre, entirely dedicated to Fado and to Portuguese Guitar universe, is a mandatory reference among the city's cultural facilities, promoting its own musical expression, and including areas with several functions: a museum area, with a permanent exhibition, a temporary exhibition area, a documentation centre, a store, a small auditorium, a school, and a restaurant/coffee-shop.

OPENING HOURS:
- Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 PM to 6 PM (last entrance: 5.30 PM).
- Closed on 1st of January, 1st of May and December 25th.
